Game 1, ALCS Game Thread - Kansas City Royals vs. Baltimore Orioles


Neither team has gone to the World Series in 30 years. Neither team has lost a playoff game this year.


Kansas City and Baltimore are slamming into each other at about 500mph, each coming off three-game sweeps in the divisional playoff round. For the Royals, that meant taking three in a row against the Anaheim Angels, owners of the regular season's best record. The Orioles, meanwhile, dismantled the AL Central champion Detroit Tigers in three games, taking advantage of a weak bullpen and awful defense.


You've heard the weather reports, which haven't always sounded promising. It looks (for now) like there will be baseball at Camden Yards tonight, much to the delightment of both fan bases.


The Royals will use the same lineup that they used in the first four postseason games (Escobar, Aoki, Cain, Hosmer, Butler, Gordon, Perez, Infante, Moustakas). For the Orioles, it looks like this:
